NECA & Super 7 They Live Figures are a Must-Have for the Nostalgic Collector

NECA They Live Retro Clothed Figures

🀯 If you're into 80s nostalgia or film memorabilia and like to collect figures, then NECA and Super 7s They Live figures are a must-have for the nostalgic collector.

John Carpenter is the legend and brilliant mind behind great classics like Halloween, Escape from New York, The Thing, Christine, and many more. They Live is a Masterpiece that is just as relevant if not more today than it was back in 1988.

For those of you that haven't seen They Live, in short, It's about a ruling class of aliens or literally interdimensional ghouls who are hiding in plain sight and keeping the populace asleep or in a dream-like state via subliminal signals hidden in media and propaganda, and the only way to see this reality is through specially made lenses or glasses.

πŸ‘“ These lenses produce an epistemological awakening in the film's main character, a drifter by the name of John Nada who arrives in shantytown Los Angeles where all hell breaks loose as he sets out to expose this nightmarish reality in the anti-alien movement.

When life gets weird which is pretty much all the time I often think about this film and shake my head because They Live truly embodies this stranger than fiction world we currently find ourselves in.

If you are into cult classics then this NECA They Live 2 pack is a must-have for any counter-culture collection, and the excitement doesn't end there because this by itself is absolutely amazing, but it gets better because it wouldn't be complete without John Nada and that is exactly what NECA is bringing to the table set to be released in November 2020.

Release date November 2020

If that isn't enough then I found a hidden gem by Shout Factory that will bring this collection to a whole nother level, it is an exclusive, limited edition 8 inch tall Frank action figure by NECA, authorized and approved by actor Keith David which is limited to 4,000 units.

The downside of this find is that the figure alone is sold out but can be purchased in either the collector's edition at $74.99 or the Deluxe edition for 94.99 which is well worth it in my opinion.

You can't get the Frank action figure by NECA anywhere unless you find it on eBay, so it's definitely something to consider if you want to elevate your They Live collection.

To my knowledge, I am not aware of any They Live figures in circulation with the exception of Super 7's Reaction figures and some sick custom DIY figures that you have to hunt for, and of course those handmade masterpieces by Distinctive Dummies which are all sold out but can be sourced via eBay and other seller platforms.

NECA They Live 2 Pack

πŸ‘‰ This two-pack was released in 2019 and comes with both the female and male ghouls which stand at around 8 inches tall.

The figures are part of the retro style clothed figure line and are sculpted by Trevor Grove, you can do a search on him @ Deviant Art to see more of his sculpts.

Both figures come with wristwatches that transport them back to the alien command center, also included is a replica television from the Market scene in the movie, magazine, newspaper, and necklace accessories.

😎 Last but not least if you think these figures are cool then you gotta grab Super 7s 3.75-inch Male and Female Ghoul ReAction Figures. The figures were sculpted by Tim Baron, with some sick packaging art by Jason Edmiston. There is a pretty cool black and white set as well.

The Male Ghoul comes with a spy drone, briefcase, and newspaper accessories and the Female Ghoul comes with a spy drone and purse accessory.
