🤪 I spent two days straight piecing together this awesome 1000 piece jigsaw Garbage Pail Kids Yuck puzzle and I absolutely loved every minute of it!
Get ready to say yuck with the 35th-anniversary collectible 1,000-piece jigsaw puzzle featuring characters from Original Series 1, OS2, OS3, and OS4 releases.
🕵️ There are also two OS2 hidden characters behind Adam Bomb, Greaser Greg, and Leaky Lindsay. The Garbage Pail Kids Yuck puzzle is one of the many awesome license agreements for the Garbage Pail Kids 35th Anniversary 2020.
Inserted is a very small puzzle image slip, measuring approximately 2 inches by 3.5 inches and doesn't help at all with putting this madness together.
I rate this GPK Puzzle 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮 Yucks out of 5
I must admit that when I received the puzzle I was overly confident and assumed I and my son would piece this together in a couple of hours, boy, was I wrong! After going hard the first night my son quit and I was left to this adventure by myself and there were plenty of moments where I wanted to punch myself in the face as the puzzle shapes began to run together like a bad acid trip. Now mind you I hadn't put together a puzzle let alone a 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle in years, and my manic eccentric traits kicked in every now and then when I hit those tense puzzle moments, you know the kind where you want to flip the puzzle off of the table and rip your eyes out.😂
Tips and tricks to piece the jigsaw together lickety-split
Breathe, take your time, and have fun.
Use the back of the box for your reference, NOT the front nor the 3-inch insert which doesn't help whatsoever especially if you have bad eyesight.
Once you get a grip on the image you can gather all the character pieces in piles based on color, this is key for this puzzle, once you do this it will be a lot easier to execute.
Preserving The Finished Puzzle
Figure out a way to flip the puzzle to the back, you can do this by putting it between two thick poster boards.
Once you have figured out how to flip the puzzle take a puzzle sealer like Mod Podge and put two or three moderate coats, let dry between each coat.
Note: The front of the puzzle pieces are already coated, however, make sure you do not over-saturate the back because it will leak to the front through the cracks and if it sticks to whatever you have it face down on you run the risk of peeling off the image. You could even seal the front as well, I didn't want to because there is already some type of clear coat already.
Once your puzzle is dry, have it framed with Plexi.
